Kian’s career spans every corner of the payments ecosystem—merchant acquiring, card issuing, risk and compliance, crypto, and strategic product development. His achievements include:

  • Driving $100M+ in cumulative revenue impact through sales growth, partnerships, and product launches.

  • Managing $15B in annual transaction flows while leading 110+ staff across global operations.

  • Reviewing 80,000+ businesses in risk, giving him an unparalleled eye for opportunity and resilience.

  • Opening new Asia-Pacific markets and unlocking fresh revenue streams for corporates, fintechs, and startups.

At SecurePay (Australia Post Group), Kian transformed the company from a payment gateway into a full payments company. He launched a PayFac with Australia Post, scaled POLi Payments into one of the group’s most profitable subsidiaries, and oversaw more than 1M daily transactions.

At Novatti (ASX: NOV), Kian led both sales and product innovation, generating $5M+ in new revenue. His launches included a crypto payment gateway, SoftPOS/tap-to-phone, card-present solutions, and a chargeback-guarantee product, positioning Novatti at the forefront of fintech innovation.

Earlier, at Fiserv, he worked across multiple international portfolios, enhancing global payments solutions and adding measurable value to enterprise clients.

Founder of Riva Tech Consulting

Today, Kian is the Founder and Managing Director of Riva Tech Consulting (www.rivatechconsulting.com), a boutique consultancy helping fintechs, startups, corporates, and crypto exchanges launch, scale, and monetise payments capabilities. Riva Tech specialises in merchant acquiring, card issuing, PayFac models, and crypto payment solutions, ensuring clients can scale globally while driving new revenue streams.

Chairman & Connector of Communities

Kian is also the Chairman and Co-Founder of Digital Irish in Australia. He launched the Sydney chapter and scaled it to Melbourne, where he now leads one of the most dynamic international business communities in the country. Hosting events of 150+ attendees every six weeks, he connects VCs, investors, founders, and C-suites with a focus on Irish innovation and global fintech collaboration.
